AYRSHIRE'S amateur sides returned to action over the weekend in the first round of the West of Scotland Cup.
There were plenty of goals with games from across the region, as well as a few surprises.
Kilbride Thistle thrashed Ardrossan Winton Rovers 7-1 in an all-Ayrshire tie.
Dailly got the better of Belshill, whilst Black's suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat away at Croftfoot Parish.
Whitletts Victoria emerged with a 3-0 away victory against Eastwood Parkmount, but Beith were defeated by Glasgow University.
There were big wins for Glenburn MW and Irvine Thistle, but Kilwinning failed to beat Glasgow Island in North Ayrshire.
There were also wins for New Farm Loch and West Kilbride, but Knockentiber and Bellfield failed to make it past the first round.
Largs Thistle were big 10-4 winners against Pollok U19s, but Drongan Utd were smashed 10-0 by Roselle Rovers.
Forehill, Minishant and Shortlees all progressed at the expense of Port Glasgow, St Andrews and Stewarton Annick.
Troon Dundonald snuck by AFC Chryston on penalties after a thrilling 5-5 draw in South Ayrshire.
There were two Ayrshire sides in league action, as Kilmarnock AFC edged out Mauchline by two goals to one in Division 1.
