It’s another Monday in July and that means another packed racecard at Ayr with a six-race meeting on offer for punters heading to the track.
Racing gets underway at 2.30pm with a maiden stakes contest for the two-year-old’s before the card rounds off 5.20p with a handicap in class six.

The opener (2.30pm) sees a small field of five head to the start for the class five maiden stakes for two-year-old’s over the sharp five furlong trip.
This one looks to be all about Weissmuller, whose fourth in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot is by far and away the best form on show here and he should have way too much class for the small field.
Race two on the card (3.05pm) looks a more competitive contest than the first race, with eight runners tackling the class six handicap over six furlongs.
Biplane, trained by John Wainwright is a previous course winner and while he hasn’t won since 2023, has been knocking on the door in recent months, ending with a good second of 14 in a Doncaster handicap nine days ago.
Of his rivals, the re-opposing Highland Olly could run him close.
Eight runners will take on the seven furlong handicap in class four to mark race three on the card (3.40pm) and Platinum Girl gets the nod after a good second on reappearance at Thirsk last time out.
The re-opposing On A Session was sixth in that race but can provide the biggest threat here.
Stress Free has been placed twice this month, including a third of 15 at York last time out 17 days ago and is taken to go one better in race four of the Ayr card (4.10pm) with top jockey Danny Tudhope taking the reins.
Course and distance specialist Pol Roger rates as the main danger, a dual winner at Ayr in May who has finished twice in two starts since.
A mile handicap in class six is the penultimate race on the card (4.45pm) and 10 runners look set to head to post to tackle the trip.
John L Sullivan was unlucky at Hamilton last time out when fourth in a handicap and Lucinda Russell’s three-year-old is taken to get back to winning ways ahead of Medici Pass, who arrives on a hat-trick after wins at Newcastle and Ayr on the all-weather surface.
Finally, the card comes to a close with the five furlong handicap in class six (5.20pm) and 11 runners are set to tackle the six furlong distance.
Course and distance winner Water Of Leith, trained by Jim Goldie, is the one to beat in the finale having been off for four months and having shaped a lot better than a fifth out of 11 finish at this track a fortnight ago.
