Whitletts Victoria FC have paid tribute after the death of a former player and honorary president of the club.
George Crichton joined Vics in 1953 and was part of the team that reached the semi-final of the Scottish Junior Cup three years later, playing in front of around 20,000 supporters.
He was made an honorary president of the club and was often spotted at club events.
The team will mark George's death at this weekend's home match with Drumchapel United.
A club spokesperson said: "A half back of some reknown, George first joined the club in 1953 and his eight years with the club coincided with arguably the most successful period in the club's history.
"He was a key member of the Vics side that reached the semi final of the Scottish Junior Cup in 1956, losing 3-2 to the eventual winners Petershill at Shawfield Stadium in front of a reported 20,100.
"Two years later George was a member of the victorious Whitletts side that won the Western League (South) Championship.
"In later years George was made an honorary president in recognition of his service to the club and attended various club functions.
"The thoughts of everyone at club are with George's family at this time and as a mark of respect to a Vics legend the club will hold a minutes silence before Saturday's home match v Drumchapel United."
Vics' First Division clash with Drumchapel at New Voluntary Park on February 17 gets under way at 2pm.
