ONE of darts' most famous faces is coming to Ayr later this year.
Welshman Gerwyn Price is set to come to town for an exhibition on Sunday, October 6, during a whistle-stop tour around Scotland.
'The Iceman' will be playing at the town's racecourse during the afternoon of that day.
The 38-year-old gave up a career in rugby - which included a brief spell with the Glasgow Warriors - to focus on his darts career in 2014.
Since then he has picked up multiple televised titles, including the 2021 World Darts Championship, and was once ranked the top player in the world.
Price has divided opinion during his time on the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tour.
His eccentric style and boisterous celebrations have often turned crowds against him, with the Welshman once playing on stage wearing ear defenders to block out the crowd.
But many fans will view Price as the ultimate showman and his exhibition in Ayr is sure to be entertaining.
