REMARKABLY, it has been almost 13 years since Whitletts Victoria actually played a home match within the area of Ayr from which the hail.
Though that absence of over a decade came to an end this weekend, as Whitletts came "home".
Saturday, November 4, marked a momentous day for Ryan Caddis' side, as they once again played a home match at New Voluntary Park.
While the home ground is not exactly identical to their previous home, it was an emotional return to Whitletts for the Ayr side.
And the match which was hosted by their new home ground, which they have returned to after their departure from Dam Park, was certainly fitting of the occasion.
Ayr RFC have taken over the club's previous home ground - which opened up the opportunity for The Vics to once again lease their former home on Glenmuir Place - which now boasts fantastic renovated facilities.
Whitletts faced fellow West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) First Division side Drumchapel United in the quarter final of the Strathclyde Demolition Cup.
The competition offers, as of yet, unlicensed sides an opportunity to vie for a place in the senior Scottish Cup.
If league form was anything to predict this match from, Whitletts were in for a hard afternoon as they took on the side who sit second in their division, with the home side sitting in last place without having picked up a win.
But with a new manager in place last month, Whitletts more than put up a fight, and were unfortunate not to produce a statement result to announce their return home as they narrowly missed out - losing 3-2.
Though with plenty of fans flocking to New Voluntary Park for the occasion, despite the loss, the future is certainly looking up for Whitletts.
The ground will once again host action next weekend, as the first league match is played at their new home.
The Vics will host Thorniewood Athletic in Whitletts at 2pm on Saturday, November 11 - and will be looking to get their season kickstarted.
