Craigmark Burntonians manager Ryan Caddis has tipped his side to go on a promotion charge following their victory over Irvine Meadow.
The Mark stunned the Premier Division outfit a fortnight ago with a 3-2 win at Meadow Park to dump the hosts out of the West of Scotland Football League Cup.
Craigmark did not get a chance to build on their famous win at the weekend, with their Conference A match being postponed.
However, Caddis’s promotion chasing side are back in action this weekend as they face Maryhill.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Caddis said: “Nobody gave us a hope in hell outwith our changing room last week.
“But we know that we are capable of results like that and we deserved to go through.
“The win over Irvine Meadow gives us a big boost going into the last eight games of the season.
“It is eight cup finals and there are still several teams in with a chance of promotion.
“I would say the top two positions are sealed but third and fourth is between us, Maybole, Whitletts, Maryhill and Johnstone Burgh.”
