Ayr Roads Cycling Club member John Mason won two golds at the British Masters Track Championships in Newport, South Wales at the weekend.
In the recently added over 80’s category, Mason produced an incredible performance to win gold in the 200m Sprint.
He also grabbed a second gold in the Pursuit, as well as a silver medal in the 500m Time Trial.
The club also had another member competing at the event down in Wales, in club stalwart Vic Possee.
He just missed a podium place with 4th in both sprint and Time Trial.
The club also had members competing in the the Scottish Cycling National Cyclocross Championships at Camperdown Park, Dundee over the weekend as well.
Club Captain Aileen Fisher finished with the best result of the day for Ayr Roads, just missing out on the podium with a 5th place finish in the female over 50’s category.
Fraser Tait finished 25th overall in the veteran 50 male category.
