PEOPLE in South Ayrshire are being invited to a Christmas candlelight service to remember their loves ones this festive season.
South Ayrshire Council has organised the event at Masonhill Crematorium on Sunday, 15 December at 3.30pm.
The uplifting service can help those who are facing the festive season without a loved one for the first time.
The service will feature heartfelt songs, traditional Christmas carols, readings and prayers.
Led by Reverend John McCutcheon and Celebrant Drew Brady, it will conclude with a chance to gather together with others over hot, spiced non-alcoholic punch and delicious mince pies.
Councillor Marin Kilbride, portfolio holder for buildings, housing and environment, said: “The festive season can feel especially challenging for those mourning the loss of a loved one.
"The Christmas candlelight service is open to everyone and offers an opportunity to reflect and remember. Whether you attend alone or with others, you will be warmly welcomed.”
