DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following a "targeted attack" on an Ayr street.
A man was seriously assaulted in the incident which took place at around 1am on Sunday, November 24 at an address on Princes Court.
The 23-year-old victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to what were described as significant injuries.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Graham Cuthill said: “A man has suffered significant injuries in what we believe was a targeted attack.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist us to get in touch.”
