THE principal of Ayrshire College is among three new directors bringing a fresh voice to the region's leading business organisation.
Angela Cox has been joined by Aimee Doole, people, brand and culture director at Booth Walsh, and Iain Greer, director of the Monarch Group, on the board of the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce.
The college CEO started her career in leisure and tourism after studying an HND at the then College of Commerce of Glasgow, before going on to achieve a degree in post compulsory education, a post graduate leadership certificate and a Masters in business administration.
Before joining the college, Angela held a number of senior leadership roles that included responsibility for the development of industry-led programmes and organisational development.
Born and bred in Ayrshire, Aimee plans to use her local knowledge and passion to support the business community.
Booth Welsh, an integrated engineering services company, recently transitioned to employee ownership and is committed to community wealth building and supporting local initiatives.
Iain has been involved in the financial services and property sectors since 2005 and his businesses, including Monarch Financial Services, Monarch Wealth and Monarch Commercial Properties and Complete Financing, are multi-award winning.
He is proud of his charity work and community projects, specifically around children’s cancer charities and the Killie Community where he is a trustee.
Chamber CEO Claire Baird said: “Our board of directors reflects the diversity of thought, expertise and perspectives that drive the Chamber’s success.
“Each director brings unique experiences from their individual sectors that enable us to navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities in an ever-changing business landscape.
"We believe that this diversity strengthens our decision-making and positions us for long-term growth."
“Myself and the rest of the board are looking forward to working with them as we continue our support of the incredible businesses we have in Ayrshire."
