STORM Bert failed to dampen festive spirits in Prestwick on Sunday as the town's Christmas lights were switched on.
The Saturday festivities of the highly-anticipated Prestmas event had to be cancelled due to the inclement weather.
However, the two-day festive extravaganza turned into one day of festive fun with thousands of people flocking to the town centre for a full itinerary of activities.
The event was hosted by Ayrshire favourites Ali and Michael, and included a vibrant Christmas market, fun fair, and street performances.
Live music was performed by a range of talented artists on two stages, alongside shopping at local businesses and stalls.
However, the Saturday of the event was cancelled amid a Met Office yellow weather warning across the region.
Organisers said: "After closely monitoring the weather forecast over the past 48 hours and carefully reviewing this morning’s updated weather models alongside yesterday’s Met Office warning, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday’s Prestmas festivities.
"This decision has been taken with the utmost priority for the safety of our attendees, staff, and vendors due to the wind/rain warnings in place.
"However, we are delighted to confirm that the full schedule for Sunday, including the highly anticipated main light switch-on, will currently proceed as planned.
"Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you on Sunday for a day of festive celebration!"
Here are some of the best photos from the day.
The Christmas light switch-on took place on Sunday, November 24 at 5pm in the Prestwick Cross and Boydfield Gardens area.
