A POPULAR South Ayrshire tourist attraction will be closed this weekend as Storm Bert bears down on the region.
Due to forecasted high winds, Culzean Castle and Country Park will be closed on November 23 and 24.
The park is expected to reopen as normal on Monday, November 25, however, any changes to this will be communicated by the park.
A yellow Met Office warning begins on Saturday at 4am and finishes at 9am the following day, with heavy snow predicted on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night.
Residents can expect...
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
