AN ADULT and child were checked over by ambulance crews following an early morning fire in Girvan.
Emergency services raced to Vicarton Street in the town just after 4.30am on Wednesday morning.
Two fire appliances tackled the building fire, with crews leaving the scene around five hours later.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.34am on Wednesday, November 20, to reports of a dwelling fire on Vicarton Street, Girvan.
"Two fire appliances were mobilised to the scene where firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
“One adult and one child were checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution.
"Crews left the scene at 9.09am after ensuring the area was made safe."
