A WOMAN and child were taken to hospital following a rush hour collision with a car in Ayr on Friday night.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Whitletts Road just before 5pm to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.40pm on Friday, November 15, officers were called to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians.
"A 4-year-old child and a 34-year-old woman were taken to hospital for treatment."
