FERRY operators CalMac have confirmed sailings between Troon and Arran will be cancelled for an entire week next February.
The MV Alfred, which has been running the route from South Ayrshire to the island for most of the year, will be going in for its mandated annual overhaul from Monday, February 10 to Monday, February 15.
That means the only service between the Ayrshire mainland and Brodick will be the MV Isle of Arran, which sails from Ardrossan.
The main Arran ferry MV Caledonian Isles, which has been out of service since its annual overhaul in January, is finally expected to return to service in March 2025.
MV Alfred, which was chartered by CalMac from Pentland Ferries last February, initially operated from Ardrossan - until harbour owners Peel Ports closed the secondary Irish berth over safety concerns.
