THE bosses of thriving restaurant and takeaway chain Tempura have taken over a former coffee shop in Ayr.
Thyme, on Alloway Street, was put up for sale in September after its owners said they could not commit to the popular coffee shop alongside their other business in North Ayrshire.
Tempura owners Brandon van Reesburg and Mark Blake have now announced their takeover of the premises.
They said: "We are delighted to announce we have now taken over the premises known as Thyme in Ayr.
"This will not be a tempura but something totally different. Keep your eyes peeled for exciting updates coming soon."
