A PRESTWICK business has raised more than £2,000 for charity to celebrate its one-year anniversary in the town.
The Espresso Kart & Coffee Bar opened in St Quivox Road last year, after expanding from its base in Kilmarnock.
To mark the special day, staff decided to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity, a cause which it said was "close to our hearts".
All cakes on the big anniversary day were £1, and all profits from both the Prestwick and Kilmarnock bars went directly to Beatson.
Thanks to the generosity of customers and staff, an amazing total of £2,089 was raised on the day for the cancer charity.
A spokesperson said: "Today marks a year of incredible support in Prestwick, countless cups of coffee, and – thanks to you – a huge milestone in our mission to give back!
"Our full team were behind this charity day! Thank you to all of our amazing customers - we couldn’t do this without you!
"Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a moment with us, and made a difference.
"Here’s to many more years of coffee and kindness."
Espresso Kart was formed in 2018 and served major Scottish sporting events from a mobile trailer, before opening up a physical premises in Kilmarnock.
