A TALENTED snapper has raised more than £2,000 for Girvan RNLI after creating a calendar in memory of his mum.
Paul Young and his brother Martin sadly lost their mum Phyllis in March, who was a huge supporter of Girvan Lifeboat throughout her 69 years.
She was part of the group that created the first ever Harbour Gala many years ago and long before Girvan RNLI took over the event.
Looking to continue his mum's support for Girvan RNLI, Paul created a calendar filled with fantastic local photographs in memory of his mum.
He insisted that all proceeds of the sale of the calendar would go straight to Girvan RNLI to support its lifesaving work.
A spokesperson said: "Monday night is training night and we welcomed local photographer Paul to the station to present a cheque to our volunteer crew.
"So we cannot thank Paul enough for carrying on the legacy in his mum's memory and supporting us.
"It was a fantastic achievement raising £2,130 from the sale of the calendars, and we are very grateful for his support and to everyone that purchased a calendar.
"We're sure Phyllis would be super proud, from everyone at Girvan RNLI thank you for your support."
