PLANS have been lodged to turn a vacant shop premises in Kirkoswald into holiday accommodation.
Costley and Costley Hoteliers Ltd, through Elliott Architecture and Design, has applied to South Ayrshire Council for a change of use for the building at 43 Main Street.
It was most recently used as Saks and Hart furniture and gift shop, and before that it was known as the House of Burns incorporating Peggy's Tearoom.
The application does not propose to alter the appearance of the building, which sits within a conservation area.
The interior of the building would include four generous bedrooms, with en-suite and communal bathroom facilities.
The property will be served by a spacious kitchen and large living accommodation.
Planning documents state that the property would be available to rent by customers on a short term basis.
As part of the plans, new railings would be installed outside the property.
You can view the full plans on the South Ayrshire Council planning portal using reference 24/00781/APP.
