A MUCH-LOVED Prestwick business is set to close down after 20 years.

Interior Ideas, located on 195 Main Street, is closing as its owner and director, Ann McKinnon has decided to retire.

The decision was made as she wanted to take time to spend with her grandchildren and have more time to relax.

As a result of the closure, an 'everything must go' sale has been started.

This means wallpapers, fabrics, cushions and lights will be reduced to 'bargain' prices.

She said: "Well it's the end of an era!!! After 20 years in Prestwick and over 40 years in retail interior design it is time to retire.

"Reaching 66-years-old in July I am taking time to spend with my growing brood of grandchildren and enjoy a bit more relaxation.
