A POPULAR winter fair is set to return to Ayr next month.

The Ayrshire Hospice Winter Fair, held at Ayr Racecourse, will take place on Saturday, November 16.

The event promises to be 'a day to remember', with a brand new and dedicated children's zone for families to enjoy.

Emma Walker, senior fundraiser, said: "We are so excited for the Winter Fair – this event has a real community spirit and every year we see children and families enjoying a fantastic and memorable day out.

"Once again, the fair will take place over two floors, with our new children’s zone located on the top floor.

"We are delighted to partner with so many great businesses in Ayrshire to offer more interactive activities for children this year to enhance the experience for them and create even more festive memories for their families.

"We can’t wait to welcome you all and to get into the festive spirit."

There will also be gingerbread decorating hosted by Ayrshire College, face painting by Take A Bow, and a chance to meet the Ayrshire Hospice’s superhero, Agent H.

The highlight for many will be a visit to Santa Claus in his grotto, provided by the Kilted DJ.

The fair is sponsored for the first time this year, with backing from Game Vault Ayrshire and Macklin Motors.

Visitors can enjoy the shopping experience, featuring an array of local crafts and produce, and take part in various fundraising activities, including the Ayrshire Hospice bottle stall, tombola, and raffle.

There will also be a prize draw with the chance to win exciting experiences.

Outside, visitors can meet the Hannahston Alpacas and enjoy a complimentary 'gourmet' burger from the BBQ, provided by RRT.

The fair will be open from 10am to 4pm, with admission priced at £3 and children under five can enter for free.
