A CHRISTMAS fundraiser is taking place to help support an Ayr youngster whose life was turned upside down by a rare illness.
Holly Graham, 13, lost feeling in her arms and legs overnight back in March, and was rushed to hospital for tests and scans.
It was revealed by doctors in Glasgow that Holly has suffered from a spinal cord stroke, which affects her from the waist down.
Holly and mum Sonja spent five weeks in a specialist hospital in London, before being sent back up to Glasgow where they remain.
A fundraiser was launched earlier this year by family friend Lisa Logan, to help the family through their unexpected ordeal.
More than £5,000 has already been raised, and a Christmas fundraising event has now been set to help raise even more.
Holly's Christmas Cracker 10K Fundraiser will take place at Crookmoss Bowling Club in Ayr on Saturday, November 9 from 11am to 3pm.
There will be a tombola, huge prize draw, and lots of luxury stalls from a variety of local businesses.
This will include handbags, candles, skincare, Christmas gifts and much more.
