THE public have been urged to attend a travelling Cabinet event at Ayr Town Hall and quiz the First Minister on important local issues.
Ayr MSP Siobhian Brown, of the SNP, said the November 4 event is 'fantastic opportunity' for South Ayrshire’s voice to be heard directly by the Scottish Government.
Those in attendance will be given the chance to meet with First Minister John Swinney and other members of the government in a public discussion focused on key local issues.
Ms Brown added: “It’s a great opportunity to raise local issues, share ideas, and air any concerns in a direct way.
"Whether it’s about the cost of living, local infrastructure, or our schools and services, this is your chance to make an impact and to shape the conversation around South Ayrshire’s future.”
Ahead of the meeting, the First Minister and Cabinet Secretaries will visit businesses and community projects in the area to highlight the Scottish Government’s four key priorities: eradicating child poverty, building prosperity, protecting the planet, and improving public services.
First Minister Swinney said: “I am looking forward to visiting South Ayrshire and hearing directly from the community about the issues that matter most and how we can improve its future.
“I would encourage residents to get involved, ask questions, and share their insights. This is a moment for their voices to be heard."
The event takes place between 2.30pm and 4pm and to book your place here.
