DRAMATIC photos have showcased the awesome power of Storm Ashley as it battered the South Ayrshire coast on Sunday.
Trains across the region were disrupted and ferries to Arran cancelled as the storm brought high winds and heavy rain.
A number of local roads and car parks were flooded, with driving conditions made difficult for those out and about.
Large waves also overtopped sea defences, sending spray and debris across promenades in Ayr, Troon and Prestwick.
