AN AYR retailer is encouraging locals to start a new Halloween tradition.
Vennal Cameras, located on Hope Street, wants parents to create photo books and gifts to document their children's costumes this year.
Robert Griffiths, owner of Vennal Cameras, said: "Customers often make themed photo books for their children – usually focused on Christmas – which we absolutely love seeing.
"However, this year, we think parents should rip up the rulebook and use Halloween to start a new yearly creative habit, by capturing how their kids transform into costume during the 'spooky season'."
To help create this new tradition, the store has shared three tips for the perfect yearly photoshoot.
These include using props to recreate a similar setting each year, keeping the background the same for at least one picture, and getting as many family members involved as possible.
Robert added: "Many of our gifts can be created and printed as quickly as the same day.
"There are plenty of opportunities to get creative, including magnetic photo frames and personalised calendars.
"You can even get a head start on your 2025 family calendar with your Halloween photo as next October’s image."
The retailer offers a range of photo printing services in-store and online.
