AN AYRSHIRE woman charged with bigamy after marrying a lady at Enterkine House was fined - after tying the knot with a man more than 20 years ago.
Susan MacLean pleaded guilty to the charge when her case called again in Ayr Sheriff Court.
The 47-year-old admitted entering into a marriage' with a female on July 21, 2021 at Enterkine House Hotel, Annbank while knowing she was already married to a man.
The Procurator Fiscal's complaint states Maclean, of Rowan Road, Girvan, had previously entered into the previous marriage with the male on October 10, 2003 in Maybole, South Ayrshire, contrary to the Marriage Act.
MacLean, who appeared in court represented by defence solicitor John Gallagher, was given a fine of £150.
