AN AYRSHIRE windfarm is set to host a returning fireworks-free event next month.
Whitelee Windfarm is hosting its annual 'Nae Fireworks Night' on Tuesday, November 5 from 5.30pm - 10pm.
The night is designed to provide a quiet and calm atmosphere for people to walk their dogs in the company of like-minded owners.
The Whitelee Countryside Rangers, Whitelee Visitor Centre and ScottishPower Renewables staff will be on-site to help maintain a firework-free zone.
However, organisers have warned this cannot be guaranteed. The visitor centre will be open to dogs and owners, for hot drinks and cake until 9pm.
Coffee vans will also be available in the visitor centre car park and at turbine 40.
Attendees who bring their own reusable cup will be eligible for a discount off their hot drink, and will also be helping to reduce waste.
Turbine 40 will also have temporary toilets. Dog owners are advised to keep their pets on leads during the event.
