THE Ayrshire Hospice has lodged plans to erect new signage at its Ayr home.
The charity has applied for consent from South Ayrshire Council to update the signs around its home on Racecourse Road.
This will include an 'Ayrshire Hospice Admissions Only - No Public Access' sign mounted on a new timber fence.
There will also be two freestanding directional 'Ayrshire Hospice' signs, two freestanding illuminated 'Welcome to the Ayrshire Hospice' sign and an illuminated 'Welcome' sign.
The plans have been lodged by Porter Planning on behalf of the charity, which is currently in the midst of a £13 million redevelopment of its Racecourse Road base.
Its services have been decanted to locations including Ailsa Hospital in the town and the East Ayrshire Community Hospital in Cumnock.
The build will include a new in-patient unit with 12 single, specialist palliative care en-suite rooms, clinical and community nursing hubs, and a vibrant playroom among other features.
