POLICE have confirmed that an 83-year-old man who had been reported missing in Symington has been "traced safe".
Officers had issued an appeal to trace John Paterson after he was last seen at a property on Symington Road North around 4.30pm on Wednesday, October 16.
Police have now confirmed that he has been traced, and have thanked those who helped share the appeal.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that John Paterson, 83, who had been reported missing in Symington has been traced safe.
"Thanks to everyone who assisted with our earlier appeal for information."
