AN AYR business has thanked its customers after receiving a top Tripadvisor award.
The Coo Shed, based at South Corton Farm, has been handed a Travellers' Choice Award by the review site.
It comes on the back of the business taking home the Dairy Product of the Year award at the recent Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.
A spokesperson said: "Whilst reviews are very important to our small family business, we often describe these review forums as ‘moaning shops’!
"We would much rather customers tell us when we do things wrong to our face so we can fix it and apologise than write it down publicly on a review site.
"This seems to us, really unfair and we are usually unable to respond or contact the customer to make things right.
"On the flip side, we also LOVE it when people take the time to tell us when we have done a good job and this time it is nice to be recognised by for being in the top 10 per cent of restaurants!
"Thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time to give us a pat on the back!
"And... if we do get things wrong, then ask for a manager or a supervisor at the time, and tell them what we got wrong and we will retrain our staff, change our processes or try to fix any problems brought to our attention."
