AN ADVENTURER is set to give a talk in Ayr about 'the hidden treasures of nature.'
Kat Jones will share stories from her 300km journey around the 11 designated Green Belts surrounding Greater Glasgow.
This is part of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society's (RSGS) Inspiring People talks programme.
During her journey, Kat found wildlife havens in landfills, quarries, and golf courses, all while navigating dual carriageways, motorways, and railways.
She said: "The RSGS lecture series may be known for inspirational stories of adventure and endurance from the four corners of the earth, but, in walking Glasgow's Green Belts, I have discovered that there is adventure to be found in the most familiar places.
"I am really looking forward to sharing some of the unusual places I visited and the people I met on my 300km route around the periphery of Glasgow."
Tickets are free for RSGS members, students, and under 18s, and £15 for general admission.
Tickets can be booked online at https://www.rsgs.org/Pages/Events/Category/all-events, and some may also be available at the door.
The RSGS Inspiring People talks are open to everyone, and Kat's talk begins at 7.30pm on October 23 at Kyle Academy School.
