A RYANAIR flight bound for Edinburgh was diverted to Prestwick Airport earlier this week due to heavy fog.
Ryanair flight FR6625 from Krakow to Edinburgh was redirected to South Ayrshire on Monday night.
The flight had left Poland at 11pm and was scheduled to fly into Edinburgh, but the aircraft was spotted circling south of the airport several times before heading for Prestwick.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 aircraft touched down at Prestwick with no problems later that night.
A Ryanair spokesperson said: “This flight from Krakow to Edinburgh diverted to Glasgow Prestwick due to heavy fog at Edinburgh Airport.”
