A LOVING couple have celebrated a magical six decades of marriage with family and friends.
Hugh and Fiona McConnachie, who currently live in Straiton in South Ayrshire, recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
Hugh, originally from Port Glasgow, and Fiona, originally from Johnstone, met in Port Glasgow and married in Greenock.
They moved further down the coast to Wemyss Bay where Hugh was employed by global firm IBM for 30 years.
Hugh left his role to train for the Christian Ministry, ministering first in Gourock, then Westray in the Orkney Islands before retirement in 2019.
The couple settled in Straiton near their youngest daughter. Hugh and Fiona have three children, Cheryl, Martin and Polly, who celebrated their milestone anniversary with them.
South Ayrshire Council's depute provost Mary Kilpatrick congratulated the couple on their anniversary and presented them with an engraved glass paperweight.
