TWO men faced serious assault charges after an incident in Ayr town centre.
Marcus Bonaldi pleaded guilty to the allegation when he appeared with co-accused Louis Bonaldi at Ayr Sheriff Court earlier this month.
Louis Bonaldi denied the same charge when both appeared together in the dock for a brief pre-trial hearing.
Marcus Bonaldi admitted repeatedly punching and kicking another man on the head and body - causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness at Burns Statue Square on December 23 in 2022.
His co-accused pleaded not guilty, with his defence solicitor lodging a special defence of incrimination during the first diet calling of the case before Sheriff Shirley Foran.
Both Marcus and Louis Bonaldi, of Peebles Court and Bennoch Place, Ayr respectively, had their bail orders continued.
They will return to at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.
