TWO people have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash on the A77 in South Ayrshire.
The road was closed northbound at around 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon following the collision between the Sandyford and Dutch House Roundabouts.
Police say two people have been taken to hospital, and diversions were in place while enquiries continued.
The road reopened around 9pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.25pm on Thursday, October 3, police were called to a two-vehicle road crash northbound on the A719 between Monkton and Sandyford, Ayr.
"At this time, two people, a man and a woman, have been taken to hospital for treatment."
