A TROON design company was given two special recommendations for its hard work at an awards ceremony.
Designer Garden Rooms Joinery and Landscapes came highly recommended in two categories at the 2024 Home Improvement Awards.
They were acknowledged in the categories for Scotland’s best joinery firm and Scotland’s best landscaping company.
The event took place on Friday, September 20 in the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Glasgow.
Angus Mackintosh, director and owner said: “It’s brilliant, that’s what we work all year for, to be the top of our industry profession, so to be nominated in two categories was great.
“It was a brilliant night. A great big fancy glitzy do and black-tie event where everyone was all dressed up looking forward to it, so it was great and it had a brilliant atmosphere.
“It’s a testament to the effort the boys put in every single day on all the jobs that we do for the customers that trust us, and know that they’re getting a top-quality job when they place an order with us.”
The company won the award for best landscaping company the previous year and was only established three and a half years ago.
Around 12 team members attended the awards ceremony, including electricians, painters, landscapers, joiners and their apprentice.
The company still wants to keep growing and is always looking for different ways they can improve and get better.
They’re currently planning on investigating new materials, embracing technology, and taking on more commercial projects.
Becoming more environmentally friendly is another one of their aims, and they have invested in a ground screw machine which will help them reach their goal.
