SPECIALIST police officers have been deployed in Ayrshire following concerns over poaching.
Wildlife crime officers have been undertaking additional patrols along rivers in the region to try and tackle the issue.
A police spokesperson said: "Following concerns raised of poaching on Ayrshire rivers, specialist wildlife crime officers have been deployed in recent days.
"Additional river patrols have been undertaken on the Stinchar, Girvan, Ayr and Doon with local officers engaging with members of the public, anglers and riparian owners."
