TROON'S RNLI lifeboat was called out to help search for a missing person between Irvine and Troon.
The volunteer crew were paged at 5:51am on Monday, September 16 by Belfast Coastguard to assist with the search.
Alongside coastguard teams and police resources, RNLI D class inshore lifeboat ‘Sheena’ was launched by the volunteer crew to provide additional assistance along the coastal areas.
A search of the requested area was completed and with nothing found, the coastal search was stood down by Belfast Coastguard pending any new information.
The inshore lifeboat returned to station and was made ‘ready for service’ with the assistance of the shore crew.
