A special RNLI scroll has been welcomed by Girvan lifeboat crew as part of the charity's 200th anniversary.
The scroll is being transported far and wide in an all-electric Ford E-Transit, bringing RNLI communities together for this extraordinary moment in lifesaving history.
On the scroll is the RNLI’s One Crew pledge, in which volunteers promise their commitment to saving every one they can, without judgment – staying true to Sir William Hillary’s vision when he founded the charity in 1824.
Members of the Girvan crew, fundraisers, shop team and water safety team were asked to sign the scroll and commit to the pledge.
The scroll was signed in Girvan by John Gourlay, John Tait, Isobel Bone and David Bova, representing the operations, shop/crew, fundraising and water safety teams respectively.
