A man accused of embezzling more than £21,000 while advising an Ayr financial firm has been acquitted of the allegations.
Angus MacLeod was alleged to have stolen the sum while working at Lang Financial, located in the town's Wellington Square, between August 23, 2018 and March 18, 2019.
The 54-year-old denied an allegation that he embezzled a total of £21,725.77 while he was contracted as an independent financial advisor on a self-employed basis at the firm.
We previously reported Sheriff Desmond Leslie fixed dates for an intermediate diet and a trial diet when the case called at Ayr Sheriff Court earlier in the year.
Mr MacLeod who was represented by defence solicitor Gordon Ghee, was ordained to appear back in August.
He was found not guilty of the Procurator Fiscal's charge, during a summary trial heard before a sheriff.
Mr MacLeod, of St Michael's Mount, Kilmarnock, left court without a stain on his character.
All accused persons reported on are considered innocent unless later found or admit to being guilty.
