The team at Ayr Central Car Park have shared their pride at receiving two prestigious accreditations.
Park Mark Plus recognises only the highest quality car parks that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment carried out by the police and British Parking Association (BPA).
The assessment includes a range of structural, environmental, operational and customer service criteria whilst also checking appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness which actively deter crime and create a safe environment for all users of the car park facility.
The also received Park Access accreditation, which is issued to parking facilities that pass a rigorous risk assessment conducted by the British Parking Association.
This award recognises that the parking and driver facilities in place are accessible to all drivers regardless of their mobility needs.
Kevin Lang, Centre Manager at Ayr Central, said: "This recognition is a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and creating an environment that is welcoming to all.
"It demonstrates our dedication to delivering high standards in safe parking facilities and also acknowledges the car park's provisions for disabled visitors, ensuring that accessible spaces and on-site support are designed and conveniently located to cater for their needs.”
William Clark, BPA Area Manager, said: “I am delighted that Ayr Central has achieved the Park Mark Plus and Park Access award, demonstrating their hard work and commitment to provide a safe and accessible environment for all users.”
