AN AYR man has denied an allegation that he sexual assaulted a woman working at a clothes store in the town.
Allan Campbell West faces a single charge accusing him of attacking a member of staff at TX Maxx in the town's River Street.
The 59-year-old is alleged to have touched the woman on the body while in course of her employment on February 10 this year.
Defence solicitor Tony Currie told the court his client was pleading not guilty to the allegation during an intermediate diet hearing at Ayr Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Maria Kicinski continued Mr West's bail and allowed his attendance to be excused at a further pre-trial hearing.
Mr West, of Ferguson Street will return to court at a later date.
All accused persons reported in the Ayr Advertiser are considered innocent unless they are found or later admit to being guilty.
