Generous radio presenters at Crosshouse Hospital have donated their yearly membership fee to raise vital funds for the children's ward.
Volunteers at HBSA Radio donated £800 towards the ward after the station opted not to charge a membership fee for the second consecutive year.
Instead, presenters chose to make the kind-hearted donation with their fee money, with the funds being spent on toys, activities and emergency clothing.
A spokesperson said: "Thanks to the support of our incredible show sponsors, HBSA opted for a second consecutive year not to charge their membership fee.
"However, like last year, our members voted to pay their fees and donate the money directly to the children’s ward at Crosshouse Hospital.
"As a result, we are delighted to announce that we raised £800, with £500 being spent on toys and activities for Ward 1B, while the other £300 helped provide emergency clothing as well as some toys and games for the children’s assessment suite, too, keeping young patients occupied as they wait."
HBSA has been providing a dedicated hospital radio service for patients and staff in Ayrshire Hospitals since the mid-1970s.
Its team of volunteers provide music and chat free 24 hours a day on the Hospedia system within Crosshouse Hospital and Ayrshire Maternity Unit.
You can also listen live on the HBSA website or via the TuneIn Radio app.
