UPDATE: James Fraser has now been traced safe and well - police have confirmed.
Police are appealing for information to help trace a man missing from Ayr.
James Fraser, 21, was last seen in the Nelson Place area around 4pm on Saturday, August 24.
He is described as being around 5ft 7in in height, of slim build with brown hair. He has a tattoo of a crown on his neck, a rose tattoo on his right hand and a tattoo on his right forearm.
Inspector Colin Thapar said: “We are growing concerned for James’s welfare and I am appealing to anyone who has seen James or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.
“James has links to the Glasgow and Ayrshire areas.
“I would also appeal to James to contact us if he sees this appeal to let us know he is safe.”
