Police are appealing for information following a serious crash on a road south of Ayr.
Officers were called to a two vehicle crash on the A713 Ayr to Castle Douglas road north of Dundeugh at around 11.05am on Sunday, August 18.
The crash involved a Mercedes Sprinter delivery van and a black BMW motorbike.
Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow via air ambulance where he remains in a serious condition.
The road was closed for around nine hours.
Constable Chris Kirkpatrick said: "Our enquiries into this collision remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone that witnessed the incident to come forward.
"We would also like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicles, or has dashcam footage of them, prior to the crash."
