"By supporting this event, we showcase the exciting possibilities within aerospace and reinforce our role in moving people, communities, and the world forward as the vital partner in inventing, designing, and building what's next in aerospace."

Councillor Alec Clark, South Ayrshire Council’s portfolio holder for tourism, culture and rural affairs, said: “I’d like to welcome Spirit AeroSystems back for their second year running as a key sponsor of the International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight.

"It’s wonderful to have the support of this global company which has a base right here in South Ayrshire.”

"Our sponsors make a huge difference to the festival, so their backing is much appreciated for what’s shaping up to be another impressive event.”

The council's leader, Councillor Martin Dowey, added: “It’s excellent news that Spirit has signed up as a key sponsor of the airshow.

"The company put their faith in the council last year, the first time that we organised and delivered an airshow, and it’s fantastic to see them return for the 2024 event.”
