A stunning superyacht built for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen paid a visit to the waters off Ayr this weekend.
Octopus is a 126-metre mega-yacht and is one of the world's largest.
She was launched in 2003 at a cost of $200million, and has since been used for exploration projects, scientific research and rescue missions.
The vessel can travel at a maximum speed of 19 knots, and can carry 26 passengers and 63 crew.
Octopus includes a private owners' deck, several bars, a library, spa, gym, basketball court and a large observation area.
It has space to land two helicopters, and also has a 43-foot long tender included.
She also has a pool and two submarines, one of which is operated by remote control.
The yacht was sold in 2021 to Swedish billionaire Roger Samuelsson, at a price of around $235m.
