An industrial development site between Ayr and Cumnock valued at just under £2million has gone up for sale.
Killoch Works is located two miles west of the village of Ochiltree and five miles west of Cumnock at the A70/A76 merge.
It is a former colliery depot on a generally regular shaped, level site extending to 21 acres.
There are various buildings on site including a mix of used and unused offices, workshops, a laboratory, and amenity buildings, totalling a gross internal floor area of 8,373 sqm.
The yard is mostly surfaced in tarmac and concrete, with a development site to the west of the site, a car and lorry park to the south, and concrete/tarmac batching plant, to the north east of the site.
Breedons Aggregates occupy part of the site and buildings under a lease expiring in October 2024.
The site has had previous planning permission for an energy recovery park, to include an energy recovery gasification plant with associated stack, plant and infrastructure, waste reception hall, material recovery facility and a visitor centre.
