UPDATE: A body has now been found in Prestwick following the search for missing Ayr man Kevin Finnie.

Police are asking for the help of the public to trace a 55-year-old man reported missing from South Ayrshire.

Kevin Finnie was last seen around 9pm on Wednesday, July 24 in the Kings Park area of Ayr.

He is described as around 5ft 8in, of medium build, with short brown greying hair. When last seen he was wearing a navy t-shirt, dark denim jeans and white trainers.

Kevin may be driving his black Range Rover, registration F1 LLM, and he has connections in Glasgow. 

Inspector Kevin Blackley said: “It is out of character for Kevin not to be in touch and we need to make sure he is safe and well.

“If anyone has seen Kevin or knows where he might be then please call us. If Kevin hears about this appeal then I ask him to make contact with us or his family.”
