A restaurant has teased its opening in Ayr soon.
The Coconut Bunch, whose owners describes it as 'the first Indo-Arabic restaurant in Ayr', is set to open up in Burns Statue Square in the premises previously occupied by Drouthy Neebors.
A website for the restaurant has been created, and promises potential customers that "we will open shortly".
The site describes the restaurant as "quaint yet vibrant" and adds: "Once upon a time in the picturesque town of Ayr, nestled along the rugged Scottish coastline, there stood a culinary gem that beckoned diners from far and wide."
A planning application has been submitted by the restaurant's owners to South Ayrshire Council.
The application details proposed internal alterations including a new commercial kitchen fit-out and associated canopy extraction system.
Plans published online show that the restaurant will have seating for around 36 people, alongside a bar, takeaway waiting area, kitchen, toilets and prep area.
The full application can be viewed on South Ayrshire Council's planning portal at publicaccess.south-ayrshire.gov.uk by searching for the reference code 24/00505/APP.
